Pruning workshop

MINOLTA DIGITAL CAMERANot much seemed to be left of this olive tree when Peter was finished with his demonstration but he promised it would all grow back soon and much better. He climbed into the tree with the motosserra (chainsaw) because this is the only way you can get an almost horizontal cut. Most fruit trees need to be pruned regularly and Peter shared his knowledge with us today about what branches to take out and why and how to do it and in what time of the year, because this is all specific to the species.
