Pastel de nata

Busy times. It’s planting season and Xicca is asking for help in the garden. Also several construction jobs need to be finished and I need help too! Fortunately Luisa passes by regularly. Her help consists of shopping for goodies and at tea time today she brought us fresh croissants and pastéis de nata, my favorite Portuguese pastry, invented over two centuries ago by the Catholic nuns of Belém, Lisbon. Amen.

I will try to talk with my latvian friends… maybe they can find time and go there now. Will tell them about pasteis de nata… this has to work. 😀

Hello, I heard about opportunity to go to Portugal and help to build garden. Can you tell more about conditions – are the food and accommodation covered? And what about plain ticket? I just know that is mostly for project, volunteer jobs. What we would have to do there? And at what time it is available – till what? 🙂

Available all year long, 7 days a week. Yes, food and accommodation, but no, we cannot help with travel expenses and insurance. Please click the ‘How to join’ tab to read more about the conditions. Or go to the ‘Site map’ for an overview of what we do, and then please connect again if you know when you can come so I can check our schedule and fit you in.
